Reasons to ... and not to ...

Alchemists are generally concerned with basic things :

Gold to be rich and not having to work. Health. Long life, rejuvenation. Sometime Enlightenment, wisdom. Sometime psychic powers. Sometime Ascension.

But, if you do gold, and make money, more than probably you'll get shot, or found suicided in your car or home. ORMUS community knows very well that the Cartel of the Metals kill people when they try to sell their production.

Anyway, imagine you make gold and with the right connexions you sell it, you have plenty of money. Good.

What will you do ?

You'll do what you are already enclined to do.

The genie of the lamp will give you what you desire : If you are enclined to material things, you'll whant a big house, fiesta all nights maybe, girls, big cars, travels, food, alcohol, marijuana. This can shorten your life. Anyway it could be cool to materialize your "green" moments, but there is a limit.

Money is a threat for people with no wisdom, a threat for themselve and others.

Finally you kill your health, and your friends are not true friends. They just are parasites. Generally we have a very small handle of friends, I mean true one, the one that ask news about you and your life, and you have a good connexion with them. But party friends, are not friends.

If ever you have some heart and wisdom, you can use your money for people. But it's rare. Then you can help poors, orphans, etc. Lot of work to do there. Flamel is one of the best example. During a whole century after celebrations where made in his areas after his "death".

Now, of course you become lazy, and spiritually inactive with all this food and fiestas... karma is karma you know. You reap what you saw.

Now, let's talk about health. No reasons here to avoid health IMO. It's a blessing to be in good health.

Seek health and seek to help people attain health.

Long life and rejuvenation ... fool is the one that wants such a thing. Have you observed lattely this world ? Do you really want to stay in such a mess for 200 years more ?? Are you crazy ? Come on ! Never you'll have the possiblity to stay alive such a long time without becoming a lab rat, I mean, scientists will not understand why you stay such a long time alive. They'll study you etc.

And what if you stay hiden will you ask me ? No no no, impossible. Even a beggar has an identity. You can't really fake that for a long time. And money is also a problem. you have to work, you have to pay taxes, you have to live somewhere. You need an identity. You are followed, registered, etc, soon we will have an RFID   (radio frequency identification) under the skin. Big Brother is watching you, remember this.

Will you try all your looooonnnng life to escape the governments ? No.

It's very hard to f*** the system, they always get you.

And rejuvenation ... you have to quit everything you have, the place you live, your job, etc. To go where ? To do what ? To do like Mc leod in Highlander films ? It's Hollywood ! It's a film !

Wisdom is so important, because it helps you to grow and go deeper in your understanding of the spiritual/material laws at play in the Big Illusion. It gives you the keys to achieve your cycle. Wisdom is spiritual candy.

Now, enlightenment, no reasons to not seek enlightenment. But sometime, people are not ready. You still have to pay the bills like says Jeff Foster, and he is so right ! You still have to deal with the mess of this world, and the karma is not totally erased.

To erase all karma, you need to put spiritual teflon in you nadis and chakras. Soma must fil your entire body.

Soma is not easilly triggered, it is a very wet and cold etheral liquid dripping in your system from Chandra/Bindu/Soma Chakra. Very special techniques are used to trigger it.

Ascension : That's the real deal. Now we speak. That's not an erzats of Alchemy, here we deal with the matter, with the body, we transcend it. It's Spiritual Suicide. Enlightenment is a first step (bliss, presence, vacuity all this stuff is a preparation for this). Here we deal with the death of the physical structure. It must go into Light.

That's the MAIN concern of Alchemy, it should be the MAIN concern of Alchemists ! 

The rest, money, health, rejuvenation, enlightenments are helpers and minor steps to achieve this.

Alchemy, depending what you seek in it, can be a great helper. That's like everything. A knife can kill, a knife can save your life.

You have everything to win seeking wisdom, health, enlightenment and Ascension.
Money, rejuvenation and long life are not that important. They could be seen as minor gifts.

Fixation of mercury

In the Alchemical processes we need to know how to fix the volatile, and how to volatilize the fix. Here it is, of course, a fixation of the volatile.

I present you here something I've considered very weird and interesting since several years ago, the coagulation or solidification of common mercury. I've heard of it in Petri Murien books.

It's mostly a curiosity in fact, but it can be useful in confectionning magickal items (that's mostly, for now, the use I can atribute to such a thing), and traditionnaly in Ayurveda it is also what is done, doing with them Shiva Lingam, amulets ...

Several methods are possibibly used, some more or less quick, some longuer (but with less work). I've heard of an oil able to fix it quiclky, but maybe this oil requires more time to be made.

The good thing is that it can be molded and then doing of it shapes.

Here it's a very small tentative. I've done it twice. The first time I broke the "regulus" I had, and used a part of the powder to re amalgamate with new mercury. In order to see if there were any change in it. None happened.

To be a good mother

A short reflexion about the Mother Archetype in Alchemy.

Most of the processes described in old texts, and even recipes, often say to cook for a long time. It is also said to not hurry, and to cook slowly.

Aurora Consurgens

The image that is given is related to the nature of the fire used in the first regimen, nigredo, depicted as a hen incubating its eggs. We find the image in Aurora Consurgens, and Flamel.

Our uterus, womb, is the Athanor, a green house, and we, Alchemists patiently wait, and watch over our egg, regulating the fire, observing the colours and the forms that can take the matter, we react in consequences if the fire is too slow or too hot, we graduate the fire accordingly to the signs given by the "baby" stone.

This archetype must be developed in ourself, in our psyche, our anima part must be delt with and accepted, nourished and enhanced. I mostly speak for men here since very few women practice. It's maybe easier for them, I don't know.

We have to incarnate and develop this archetype of "philosopical mother", the Baby Rebis is a white and a red, two but one, with a shell, whe have ton consider it as a whole, because in Alchemy, 1 + 1 = 1. This is also seeing that in ourself, we are double, and one in the same time.

Roger Bacon in his Mirror of Alchemy, speaks of the mountains, of the fire from below, slowly maturating the metals by a long coction. There is no other regimen of fire he says. And he's right of course. 

I want to point out here the fact that the combined fire + egg, + oven creates the Nature's action of the Universal Mother, the perpetual pregnancy, milking, cooking, hatching ... Nature is "big", and thus the "Mother is Big", and this is how the old traditions saw her, as a big mama. 

When an Alchemist watch over the Philosophical Egg he becomes a mother too. 

But beware to not become a "A hen mother", "Une mère poule", a french expression to designate a hatching mother - stifling, posessive, intrusive mother - a burden, that in fact, by its presence, do not give "air", or space for the evolution of the matter. 

It needs space to grow, to fly, to condense, to circulate. You don't have to interact too much with the process, doing more than your part. You just have to watch, be present, act when needed. Not acting when not needed. Otherwise, you become intrusive and an obstacle.

We also need to give time to time, time to the process and not hurry anything.

We have to know exactly what part, what role we have to play in this process, and not crossing the line, in our own risks.

About Franz Bardon's System of Magick.

One day, while doing a scrying with crystal ball, clairaudient and clairvoyant friends with me, after the evocation of a Superior Being, we were taught that the Bardon's system of magick "break", i.e, the psychism of the neophyte, and it was not necesary to break like that, and it is one of the reason of failure of the students in this path.

It is true that this path is very special, and few can realize it, and succeed in it. It is probably because Bardon was already a great magician, and the first steps were very easy for him, he wrote them down like that, not thinking that decades after they would pass in the "must read" of the practicing magicians. But when you begin from zero, or minus ten, Bardon's first book, "Initiation Into Hermetics" an Himalaya ...

In a sense, for me, the system is already of a high level from the beginning, it is necessary to know the first steps, but to dilute them, to make them ludic, and it is mostly the case with ritual magick, it also tends to set good habits in the movements, atmosphere and creation of the magician personnality.

You can, and you maybe should, gather exercices from all over the Magickal world, and practice them in respect to your possibilities, including Astrologia and Alchemia, Lab, and Oratoty parts, Theory, and Practice.

Bardon is presenting us, HIS own system, probably what HE thinks about Magick, refering a lot to Tibetan Buddhism, Kabbalh, Agrippa, Abramelin, Salomon systems, but in a sens without giving really the sources, just by making a modernization of them.

A lot of people write commentaries on F.Bardon system, it's a fashion now to do that seemingly since Rawn Clark produces his own at first, and also William Mistele, that I consider to be the two most important guys on internet being able to master Bardon's system, although it can be useful to some persons to have these commentaries, but they are truly useful only if you practice ... 

I personnaly think that one must approach this system with already a background, not jumping in it as a neophyte. I like the scrying of tattwas, rituals of pentagrams, vibrations of mantras to be a set of basic tools. They indirectly teach you a LOT of things like concentration, feeling the energy, vibration of the Names of Power, breathing, relaxation, grounding, being able to 'see' as mental travel, to feel, to ear also... etc.

But a wide part is generally put apart in the world of Magick, the BODY, I mean, the Physical body.

How many student of Bardon really practice everyday "gymnastic" ? Stretching ? Jogging ? No questions on the forums are related to this part. You can imagine it is because students practice them with ease, but no one asks questions about for example the Rites of the 5 Tibetans, or Hatha Yoga as physical practice, or bodybuilding, HIIT cardio, the role of martial arts... There is a real imbalance somewhere, and even the Introspection exercize seems to not reveal this when investigating. 

The role of physical exercice in Magick is :

- FEELING your body !! Yes aches are important ! Don't supress them with meds, that's silly.

- Lymph epuration (glues), by movement you make a massage of ganglias

- Skin epuration (crystals) with sweat

- Calcification of bones by contracting your muscles

- Equilibrium

- Reflexes

- Power, strenght

- Massages of internal organs

- Massages of the fascias

- Avoiding the decreasing of natural hormons

- Empowering the chakras

- Psychologic developpement, as pushing your limits, tasting the power of Mars and Fire, and Earth, practicing exercices that you detest : what you hate in sport (like squats, or benching, whatever) say something of your body/mind relationship, and working what you detest will push you to a higher level of developement.

- Creating a brain/muscle relationship, feeling the contraction in your body when you are not relaxed (see differential relaxation of Edmund Jacobson : in "You must relax" - it's a book).

- Feeling good ! By the release of dopamine !

- Being in a better health

- Alkalazing your blood stream (all illnesses are created by an acidic ground)

- Changing your relationship to food (tabacco, coffee, alcohol, icecreams and junk fast "food", sodas), sleep, and your body, health ... etc.

- Stretching for fascias, muscles, etc makes room for the blood and nutriments rishing in the muscle after the effort.

- Giving you more energy and regulating sleep. No, sport do not tire you unless you go to an extreme limit, it unblocks some energy in you and makes you feel stronger after the effort. You also develop a "good fatigue", regulating sleep hours and the sleep by itself.

You have NO EXCUSES to not practice a holistic physical activity !!

Holistic means this : Cardio, Muscular, and Stretching.

Dietetic, nutrition, and cooking lessons should also be part of the Magus system. It's a whole system of life that must be practiced, because everything interfers and act on everything. Let me stress this once again, because I believe in the virtues of repetition and BOLT things :

Everything interfers and act on everything.

This is why if one want to practice Magick, or energetical activities one MUST regulate sleep, activities, nutrition, breathing, etc. It is not complicated to understand.

You an replicate that Magick is a mental, astral, energetical practice and the body is not something predominantly stressed. Maybe because at first the Magicians stressed more on Prayers and rituals, not really on preparation of occult senses, etc. But now that these more "ethereal" practices are set and well understood, one should go deeper into the physical realm and confront himself where he is not going : his own body, his own structure. We are spiritual begin having a physical experience. We are not totally energetical beings like Undines or Salamanders, Sylphes, even Gnomes, that are nonetheless close to the physical realm. We have a body.

Take care of it. Clean it. Eat well. Avoid smoking, processed food, sodas, coffee, tobacco, drugs, chaotic sleep hours, inaction ... Fast sometime.

Dix Paroles ...

Je travaille à l'heure actuelle (encore et toujours) sur la notion de "dominer vos défauts" pour pouvoir maîtriser la Force Magique en lien. C'est une chose qu'Eliphas Levi mentionne, et que probablement, Franz Bardon lui a repris. La logique en est implacable et parfaitement compréhensible.

La colère est reliée à Mars par exemple, celui qui ne maîtrise pas cette émotion ne peut qu'être ensuite dominé par elle et par l'énergie archétypale, magique, qui est en lien. Et il en va de même avec les "péchés" et les "vertus" que l'on retrouve dans la religion Catholique.

Ainsi :

Soleil : Orgueil - Humilité

Lune : Paresse - (Foi) Travail - Prodigalité

Mercure : Envie - Modestie

Vénus : Luxure - Chasteté

Mars : Colère - Courage

Jupiter : Gourmandise - Tempérance

Saturne : Avarice - Charité

C'est un peu résumé mais cela donne une idée, vous pouvez faire des recherches plus approfondies par vous même par la suite. Il faut savoir que les 7 vertus n'équilibrent pas exactement les pêchés capitaux.

Je me suis donc penché sur les 10 commandements et voici ce qui m'est venu à l'esprit : ils sont, semble t'ils tous reliés à une émanation/sephirah. Je ne dis pas que le découpage soit parfait et que ce que je présente ici soit juste mais c'est une première approche, une idée.

Tout d'abord la Bible ne parle pas de « dix commandements » mais de « dix paroles » ʿAsereth had-Diberoth (Ex. 34, 28 ; Deut. 4, 13) traduit dans la version des Septante, par δεκάλογος / dekálogos, d'où vient le mot français Décalogue. Et en cela, ces "paroles" sont des émanations du Verbe Divin, donc on pourrait prendre cela comme l'Arbre de Vie.

Je vais tenter, peut être maladroitement, de relier ces Sphères aux "Paroles".

Exode 20 : 2–17 (traduction Louis Segond, 1910) :

20.2 Je suis l'Éternel, ton Dieu, qui t'ai fait sortir du pays d'Égypte, de la maison de servitude. (Pour moi, la Maison de Servitude est l'Unité primordiale, ici c'est à prendre de manière plus large en ce qui concerne la Pays d'Egypte).

20.3 Tu n'auras pas d'autres dieux devant ma face. (Kether, Unité et "face de Dieu")

20.4 Tu ne te feras point d'image taillée, ni de représentation quelconque des choses qui sont en haut dans les cieux, qui sont en bas sur la terre, et qui sont dans les eaux plus bas que la terre. (Hokmah, la formation des polarités, eaux d'en haut et d'en bas, etc)

20.5 Tu ne te prosterneras point devant elles, et tu ne les serviras point ; car moi, l'Éternel, ton Dieu, je suis un Dieu jaloux, qui punis l'iniquité des pères sur les enfants jusqu'à la troisième et la quatrième génération de ceux qui me haïssent
20.6 et qui fais miséricorde jusqu'en mille générations à ceux qui m'aiment et qui gardent mes commandements. (Daath ? Certes, considérée non comme une sphère)

20.7 Tu n'invoqueras point le nom de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, en vain ; car l'Éternel ne laissera point impuni celui qui invoque son nom en vain. (Binah, ici impuni est probablement incorrect, on peut plutôt entendre "sans réponse" ou sans "manifestation", et Binah est la Mère de la forme)

20.8 Souviens-toi du jour du repos, pour le sanctifier.
20.9 Tu travailleras six jours, et tu feras tout ton ouvrage.
20.10 Mais le septième jour est le jour du repos de l'Éternel, ton Dieu : tu ne feras aucun ouvrage, ni toi, ni ton fils, ni ta fille, ni ton serviteur, ni ta servante, ni ton bétail, ni l'étranger qui est dans tes portes.
20.11 Car en six jours l'Éternel a fait les cieux, la terre et la mer, et tout ce qui y est contenu, et il s'est reposé le septième jour : C'est pourquoi l'Éternel a béni le jour du repos et l'a sanctifié. (Tiphereth, la Sphère solaire est au centre du système solaire et est immobile, donc au repos, maintenant on peut voir cette parole en lien avec Shabbataï ou Binah/saturne/samedi et la lenteur de Saturne ou l'idée de repos)

20.12 Honore ton père et ta mère, afin que tes jours se prolongent dans le pays que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne. (Hesed, acte de dévotion et de prière, de mysticisme, qu'on peut relier à la douceur de Jupiter, maintenant on peut voir cela comme l'idée de Soleil et Lune ou Tiphereth Yesod ensemble comme polarités archetypales premières/parentes)

20.13 Tu ne tueras point. (Geburah, tuer = Mars)

20.14 Tu ne commettras point d'adultère. (Netzah, la fornication reliée à Venus, mais ce n'est pas nécessairement à entendre du point de vue relationnel ou sexuel, c'est aussi une question de fidélité envers Dieu (adultère = aller vers le veau d'or))

20.15 Tu ne déroberas point. (Hod, le vol relié à Mercure)

20.16 Tu ne porteras point de faux témoignage contre ton prochain. (Yesod, à comprendre peut être dans le sens du mensonge, des illusions lunaires, ou porter une ombre sur l'autre, en un sens, perdre le sens de la vérité/de l'origine Divine des choses, dans ce monde)

20.17 Tu ne convoiteras point la maison de ton prochain ; tu ne convoiteras point la femme de ton prochain, ni son serviteur, ni sa servante, ni son bœuf, ni son âne, ni aucune chose qui appartienne à ton prochain. (Malkuth, ici il s'agit surtout de choses matérielles, donc reliées à la Sphère de la "terre" ou du Monde)

Un dernier mot :

« Un homme s'approcha de Jésus et lui demanda : « Maître, que dois-je faire de bon pour avoir la vie éternelle ? » Jésus lui dit : «Pourquoi m'interroges-tu au sujet de ce qui est bon ? Athanor quand tu nous tiens ...

L'Athanor, drôle de mot pour un four, que dis-je un fourneau ! Il est dit contenir le Feu éternel, Secret et Philosophique.

En Hebreux "Tanur" veut dire "four", le "four à pain" ou encore la "source d'eau chaude", Al (présence Divine), ou Four Divin, Source d'eau chaude Divine ou Four à pain Divin ... Athanatos veut dire en grec, "sans mort".

Nous voyons dans cette image ci dessus la triple enceinte, parfois comprise, non pas au niveau du Fourneau, mais plus des Principes même de la matière (Soufre, Mercure et Sel) ou Vase de Nature, contrairement au Vase ou Ballon, formant la coquille de l'Oeuf.

Pourquoi tant de murs entre la chaleur et la matière ? Cela dépend du fourneau et du mode de chauffage, mais cela est fait de sorte que la chaleur ne puisse toucher directement la matière. En effet, Roger Bacon nous explique que la matière n'est pas au contact direct avec la chaleur dans la montagne.

Ainsi, nous avons un "fourn-eau", four à eau en somme, avec peut être bien un lien avec le Balneum Vaporis, bain de vapeur, si peu utilisé de nos jours malheureusement ... et pourtant d'expérience, je puis dire que l'on comprend aisément pourquoi nos chers anciens Maîtres de la Science d'Hermès parlaient de leur feu vaporeux, enrobant, doux et pénétrant ... cette chaleur humide dévore tout. 

Ainsi, l'Athanor, autrement dit, Four Philosophique, peut porter en son sein, et dans sa triple enceinte, plusieurs feux, un de vapeur, un de cendre et un de sable, selon que la nature du feu à donner à la matière doit être plus ou moins chaud, humide ou sec.

Roger bacon explique dans son Miroir d'Alchimie que tout se perfectionne dans les montagnes par la seule cuisson, constante, régulière, puis petit à petit en augmenter la chaleur. L'Athanor est une montagne, elle ne laisse pas échapper sa chaleur. Les mouvements terrestres géologiques sont analogues à cette hausse de chaleur, on appelle cela la subduction et convection de la croûte terrestre. Le manteau du dessus est lentement amené à la chaleur du dessous, les parties cuites du dessous sont lentement ramenées à la surface du globe. Notre planète est un Athanor ...

L'Athanor est donc l'enceinte, rendue fonctionnelle, pour faire en sorte que la matière dans l'Oeuf Philosophique, puisse cuire dans de parfaites conditions. Et ce, que ce soit en Voie Sèche (avec du charbon et du bois) qu'en Voie Humide (avec les bains de vapeur, d'eau, cendre, sable/ Balneum vaporis, mariae, cinerum, arena).

Lorsqu'on parle d'Enceinte, on parle aussi de "femme enceinte", car voyez vous, cet Athanor est l'égal de la Femme, portant un utérus/l'Oeuf en son sein, le cuisant. Chose curieuse et étonnante, très souvent la durée de l'oeuvre par voie humide est dite de 9 mois (parfois et demi).

Une cloche de verre sur le dessus permet à l'opérateur Alchimiste d'observer les changements de couleurs, de forme, que prend la matière.

Fulcanelli nous dit que l'Oeuf, le creuset en voie sèche, se casse lorsque la Pierre est "née".

La conception, et le don de la vie à la matière est donc très en lien avec la reproduction.

La protectrice de l'Athanor est Sainte Barbe, figure féminine portant une Tour. Son histoire personnelle est un peu en lien avec cette coction Alchimique ... et les travaux de la mine car elle est la patronne des travaux souterrains  voici donc l'histoire :

Son père, homme païen et cruel, enferma Barbe dans une Tour inaccessible.
Elle profita de l'absence de son père pour faire percer une troisième fenêtre en plus des deux dont disposait sa prison dorée, pour symboliser la Trinité : le Père, le Fils et le Saint Esprit. De même elle y traça des signes de croix. Son père, à son retour, lui demanda l’explication de ces signes.
Elle lui dit qu’elle avait voulu représenter un Dieu en trois personnes et la mort du fils de Dieu sur la croix. Dioscore entra dans une grande colère en voyant que sa fille embrassait "les rêveries" des chrétiens : elle fut obligée de fuir. Il la poursuivit longtemps et, l’ayant enfin atteinte, il l’accabla de coups, la prit par les cheveux et la ramena à sa maison où il la tint enfermée dans la tour et la traita comme une esclave.
Il la mena ensuite au tribunal de Marcien, gouverneur de la Province où, l’ayant accusée d’être chrétienne, il demanda qu’elle fut châtiée selon la rigueur des édits que les empereurs avaient promulgués contre les chrétiens (elle n'avait que 16 ans). Après une horrible flagellation, il la fit ramener en prison en attendant d'avoir inventé quelque nouveau supplice pour la punir.
La même nuit, le Seigneur lui apparut dans une lumière admirable, l’exhorta à la persévérance, lui promit de l’assister dans tous les combats qu’elle allait soutenir pour la gloire de son nom. On peut retrouver un peu cette idée de Tour/Athanor avec le conte de Raiponce/Rapunzel.

Si l'on veut faire une analogie avec de "l'Alchimie Spirituelle" alors le corps et les Hara/dantian servent de réceptacles à l'énergie qui y est alors cuite, le corps humain est donc cet Athanor, ce fourneau.

L'Athanor est aussi nommé "Henri le lent" ou Four de paresse, four à lampe. L'idée est toujours de faire une longue, et constante coction.
