Google book make a great job, but when you do something like that, you should try to have quality of image that is good.
In the books they offer, some words are cutted, missing pages, and sometime the pdf cannot even display 10, 20 or more pages ! (not the fault of google there, surely the Dl occured bad) how is it possible, I don't know, just ask the big google machine.
So, each time I Dl a book from google, I have to check if something is missing, if the book is important, I make screen prints in order to have the text.

Alchemical Process of De La Brie
Some of you have maybe read the document in R.A.M.S called "PROCESS". This document is said to speak about the antimony dry path, and also about the story of the Alchemist De La Brie.
I made some researches. And finally I've found the book where Bacstrom found this story several centuries ago :
Histoire des Indes orientales by Souchu de Rennefort - 1688
Page 245 the story begin.
I know that for a person not speaking french it is not easy to understand, if you know a little french, it is more easy if you read it out loud and then you can hear the sound made by the words, which can give you the real french word, like : "fçavent" f is a s, ç is s too, so "savent" = savoir, to know.

Dangers of Alchemy, archemy &c
Dangers ... one of our brother and friend, lastly could be seriously and permanently injured by a very powerful explosion in it's lab. He is experimented, and know what he is doing, he's not a dabbler.
No need to say that the apparatus is now into peices, ... in the walls and ceiling ! He was a meter in front of the explosion. He told me that a moment of inattention (he was on the phone), and BHAM ! The temperature was too much high for a second. Fortunately for him, no physiscal injuries, unscathed ! But the shock was very profound in it's mind.
I do understand that, because we act with confidence. But the day we are injured it is something else.
We can have a moment of doubt, and this warning is important. SECURITY FIRST !!
Lastly, 3 weeks ago, I was holding a vessel, with very reactive alcaline subtance in it (NaOH), like my friend, my attention were somewhere else for a second, and pfffffssssssssssiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiihhhhhhh the temp rised to I think more than 100 °C in the second, the cap, by the pressure raised in my hand, letting the burning vapours burning my flesh with the boiling alcaline water. It took 2 weeks to heal totally.
So yes, it happens, like a casting crucible not enough hot, where the fused metal just began to behave like a boiling oil, jumping on my feets and everywhere around.
How many times, cutting wood, my visor just saved my eyes from jumping peices of wood !
So, yes, you really have to be careful, to have a good material, well prepared, and physical protections, like gloves, eyeshades etc.
My friend send me some photos of the T shirt he was wearing during the lab big bang:

Fortunately, thanks to a brother in art I have found a glassblower able to make retorts... finally the story will be a happy ending :)
We find ourself very often limited by the material we need, lastly, for a simple sublimation of Salmiac, I had to spend half of a day making essays, 4 trials for nothing ...
Modern material, apparatus, etc, sometime do not really fit for our works. Where to find now crucible of the quality of Hesse ? You have to make them by yourself ! Of course we have the advantages of modernity, and also the disavantages.

Broken retorts
What a pitty and a pain when a retort break (even if I feel absolutely detached about)... and thinking af all these broken retorts during centuries by alchemists and chemists, but at that time retorts where really easy to find.
For the little story, it was a big retort, 1.5 liter almost, nicely blown, not a "lab one" (you know, these pitty quality retort, in boroglass, where you have to push and push again your fire in order to make it spit a low quality distillate ... pff "modern" times ... a retrogradation !!), so I put my almost pure Spiritus Vini in it, on liter was in, a "crack", the bottom suddenly open, all the S.V go on the floor. I hear your alchemical scream from here haha ! Only a quart of the S.V could be rescued, and will have to be distillated again. Well I offer generously the evaporated S.V to Hermès. It was just two month of work. Yes two, because I distill with teapot candles at low T° (well, the way it should be in fact, the longer the better :) ).
I gave 3 phone calls to 3 different "glass blowers", and "no, I don't do that", ... Oh, I think "Oh man, you say you are a glass blower and your are not even capable of blowing a bubble of glass an making bow in the middle ? What kind of glass blower are you huh ?", deceptive, yes, very. They are just able to make these kind of little animals in glass ... bouark ! I'm sure I will find a capable Glassblower, but for which price ?
If I had enough money I would blow my own retorts, with bore into the glass, long necks, large mouth, and big belly, ... and a thick body !
Since it is absolutely not possible to fix it, and that the hole on the belly is not so big and not too much in sight, this broken retort will last it's life on a furniture in my bedroom, decorating my Museum of 'Alchemical Curiosities'.

Sacred Heart & internal alchemy
A Radiant beauty, always represented with Fire, Light, Blood, and a Cross in the Heart Cavity of the Christ.
Blood is the "Philosopher Stone", or Light coagulated into a corporeal body. The bleeding mean that, from the Heart, the body receive a new Light, a new blood into it's veins, or nadi.
This is the Rubedo.
Isn't it the Philosopher Stone ?
Of course we find the symbol of the antimony/earth here, with the cross on the top of the Earth, saying that the Quintessencia is Present.
Earth/Heart, the H is only at a different place.
The Cave of the Heart is the same thing than the Cave where the little Baby Jesus of Nazareth came to existence. This place is crowned by a Star. The Star is said to be the Venus Light, showing the Morning Sun. Traditionnaly, Love is a Venusian quality, and liked to Heart. The Chakra related to Love is the Anahata Chakra, just above the Hrit Padma, the Sacred Heart. So, the symbolism is true and effective for Yoga too. The Star, the Cave, the Christ/Atman are all present in good order.
We can also look at the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, that locate Tiphereth, or "Beauty", as Solar quality, just at the Heart Place. This interior state is the state of Christ. Continuing on the same pilar, is Daat, and Kether. Daat is a transcendance of polarity, and Kether is the total Transfiguration/Ascension into Light, with the Uncoagulation of the Body of Light.
